These terms apply to EasyTap power bank rentals in Belgium. Pricing, maximum duration and replacement fees shown at the station at the time of rental form part of the agreement.
In these terms:
By tapping your payment method and confirming a rental at a station, you enter into a rental agreement with EasyTap on these terms and on the pricing and duration information shown at the station before you pay.
These website terms explain the service. The details displayed on the station at the moment of rental form part of the agreement, including price, maximum rental period and replacement fee.
Every power bank remains the property of EasyTap at all times. A rental is not a sale. Keeping, hiding, dismantling or treating a power bank as if it were purchased does not transfer ownership.
A rental starts when the station releases a power bank after a successful payment authorisation. You should check that the power bank is released and take only the unit assigned to that rental.
If no power bank is released, do not assume a rental has started. Contact [email protected] if a payment was reserved or charged without a release.
Rentals are paid by contactless card or mobile wallet at the station. Supported payment methods may include debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, depending on the payment provider.
You authorise EasyTap and its payment provider to collect rental fees, any applicable replacement fee, and other amounts due under these terms from the payment method used to start the rental.
Rental pricing will be shown directly on each EasyTap station before you pay. Website examples, if shown, are labelled as examples only and are not an offer.
Fees may include a start amount, time-based charges, a cap, and other amounts communicated at the station. EasyTap may change pricing for future rentals. A change does not alter the price already shown for an ongoing rental unless required by law.
You must return the power bank by inserting it fully into an EasyTap station so that the station can register the return. Keep the power bank in a reasonable condition, dry, and free from damage beyond normal use.
Where the network allows, you may return the power bank at another EasyTap station. Follow the instructions on the station. A return is complete only when the station confirms it.
Each rental has a maximum duration shown at the station and/or during payment. You should return the power bank before that period ends.
If you return the power bank after the period on which the displayed price is based, additional rental charges may apply up to the maximum communicated at the station, unless a replacement fee has already been applied.
If your power bank is not returned within the maximum rental period, the applicable replacement fee and any outstanding rental charges may automatically be charged to the payment method used for the rental.
The same may apply if the power bank is lost or stolen while in your care. Please contact support as soon as possible. Charging a replacement fee does not mean the power bank has been sold to you. It remains EasyTap property, and EasyTap may still request its return.
Deliberately keeping a power bank is not a purchase. EasyTap may charge the replacement fee agreed at rental and may take further steps permitted by Belgian law if a power bank is misappropriated.
You must not open, modify, short-circuit, burn, crush, or use a power bank with incompatible or unsafe equipment. You must not use it in a way that could harm people or property.
If a power bank is damaged beyond normal wear while rented to you, EasyTap may charge a repair or replacement amount up to the replacement fee shown at rental, unless the damage was caused by a defect already present at release.
You are responsible for the power bank from release until a station registers the return. Use it only to charge compatible consumer devices, keep it away from water and extreme heat, and do not leave it unattended in a way that invites loss.
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the valid consent of a parent or guardian, and be authorised to use the payment method. EasyTap stations are not intended for unsupervised use by young children.
Stations depend on power, connectivity and stock. EasyTap does not guarantee that a station is always working, that a power bank is always available, or that every location listed on the website is live.
Demo locations on the website are not real stations. If a station fails during rental or return, contact [email protected]. We will look into refunds or release of a reserved amount where a failure is on EasyTap’s side.
If you were charged in error, if a power bank was not released after payment, or if a proven station fault prevented a fair rental, EasyTap may refund or adjust the charge. Refunds are made to the original payment method where possible. Bank processing times apply.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Belgian law, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
To the extent permitted by law, EasyTap is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost business, or device issues caused by a third-party phone, cable or charger. EasyTap’s total liability for a rental is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for that rental and the replacement fee applicable to that rental, except where a higher limit is required by law.
If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
EasyTap may update rental prices, replacement fees and maximum durations. New amounts apply to rentals started after they are displayed at the station. They do not rewrite a rental that has already started, except where required by law.
We may update these terms. The version in force for a rental is the version communicated at the time of that rental, together with the information shown on the station. The website will show the latest general version.
These terms are governed by Belgian law. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of your country of residence.
Disputes may be brought before the competent courts of Belgium. Consumers may use any jurisdiction granted to them by applicable law. The European Commission’s ODR platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr for eligible consumer disputes.
